Who’s fault is it.

November 11, 2012
“OK it’s time for the NBA, no lock outs, no strikes, and no whining. It’s a 82 game season, 100+ for some teams – all depends how far you go in the playoffs. We are a little less than two weeks into the season. Push the panic button now because there’s a team (Lakers) out there that started the season 1-4. No! Not  the LA Lakers, not the team that took the whole off season to acquire the most dominated center in the league (D Howard). Wait a minute, after Shaq, oh he’s retired, didn’t he play in the same era with the Lakers when they went to the championship and won three out of four Larry O’Brien trophy’s. Yea we call that a 3-peat.  Kobe Bryant, a five time NBA champion, is a little upset with the team, with the coaches, who knows? He told the media to shut up last week, calm down and relax. The season just started, 5 games were played, more likely five scrimmages. That’s what they are because when you involve new players in your offense,  your learning new pick n rolls, spotting other guys up for their shots and who is most likely to be in their comfort zone. So the Lakers bring in D Howard and Steve Nash one the premier point guards in the league, or should I say in his prime. Look Steve Nash is good, but we seen him play only  two games, not even two. He’s there to spread the offense around and also to keep Kobe happy in the aftermath but you still have to get the ball down low to the big man. There’s no more Phil Jackson and no more triangle offense. So they go to the pick n roll which Kobe is mute to which adds to his 15 turnovers in the last 5 games alone. There, that gets the coach fired. Mike Brown was fired after 2 seasons, 2 good pick ups which include Steve and D Howard, 2 weeks into the season. Boy talk about them terrible 2’s. Where’s the love. I don’t think this was fair to anyone not just Mike Brown but com on man 5 games into the season, that’s not a chance to do anything with anybody. I coached in a boy’s club basketball league from ages to 12 to 15 and I knew where we stood before the season started. So bring in the assistant coaches Bernie Bickerstaff, Eddie Jordan, Steve Clifford, Chuck Person and Darvin Ham. Hell! Why not if Mike Brown had Pau Gasol shooting 3-pointers from deep corner, next time put the Rifleman into the game. He’s only a few seats down on the bench, remember him?
